WikiForDisease uses three explicit states:
- Draft: not public and excluded from navigation, search, sitemap, and production output.
- Editorially reviewed: checked for source use, structure, links, and plain-language clarity, but not presented as independently medically reviewed.
- Medically reviewed: reviewed by a named clinician whose real name, credentials, role, profile, and review date are registered with the site.

Launch status
Section titled “Launch status”Eight core Moyamoya articles were medically reviewed by Meng Zhao, MD, PhD on June 13, 2026. The 24 supporting imaging, procedure, and terminology entries remain editorially reviewed and do not claim medical review.
Reviewer attribution
Section titled “Reviewer attribution”Medical-review badges appear only when an article references a reviewer in the central registry. The public profile records the supplied name, credentials, role, review date, and Google Scholar link without inferring an institution or additional qualification.
